Another day, more drama in the Lil Wayne vs. Birdman saga.
As Tha Carter V holdout continues, Lil Wayne has brought into play a few questions regarding an $100 million advance Universal Music Group granted to Birdman. Birdman insists he spent $70 million of the advance on royalties, marketing and recording expenses, yet Wayne & his team say those expenses are completely unaccounted for.
Birdman has reportedly turned over 22,015 pages of legal papers allegedly accounting for the missing $70 million, however Wayne’s legal team claims none of the documents provided show any indication of where the $70 million went.
In addition to all this, Wayne recently gained the support of Rap-A-Lot Records CEO J. Prince who has vowed to help Wayne get his money. Nonetheless, it doesn’t look like we’re any close to C5 & that this feud is still only heating up.
If I were prostesting I’d be holding up the 5 for the Free C5 struggle mane! But that’s just me
