While artists like Gucci Mane and Jeezy have been able to put their past issues aside to come together for a Verzuz battle—it doesn’t appear that Ja Rule and 50 Cent will follow a similar path.

Speaking with the folks over at HipHopDX, the now 44-year-old rapper said that 50 does not want that problem, before explaining how he believes Verzuz battles should be done in a positive spirit.

“That’s what Verzuz is supposed to be about—the celebration of music and the art, and the artistry. So I would want my Verzuz to be fun and filled with love in the room and shit, and you know that sort of thing. I’m too old to be in Verzuz beef, and to be in with my team of n****s, all my team of n****s, we’re like, ‘Come on, man.’ I’m 44, dog. Just get a boxing ring and we get in there, and we do that. All this other funny nutty shit, we ain’t doing that.”
