Drake Ordered To Sit For Depostion in XXXTentacion Murder Trial

Drake has been ordered by a court to either sit for a deposition or appear in court in connection with the ongoing Xxxtentacion murder trial.

Xxxtentacion, real name Jahseh Onfroy, was killed in June of 2018 outside a motorcycle store in a robbery that escalated—ultimately leading to his death.

While prosecutors do not believe Drake, real name Aubrey Graham, is in any way involved, the theory that he is connected to the killing has been brought to light by Mauricio Padilla, a defense attorney for one of the three suspects in the case.

Padilla says that he previously tried to subpoena Drake for a deposition at the end of January, however he did not show up for the deposition. Padilla has since petitioned the court for an “order to show cause,” which a judge granted on Thursday, February 9.

The order states that because Drake failed to appear for the deposition at the end of January, he “shall appear for a deposition” on Friday, February 24. It continues: “If deponent Aubrey Drake Graham does not appear to deposition he must appear before this court on Monday Feb. 27, 2023.”
