50 Cent Developing New Series ‘Vice City’ For Paramount+

50 Cent’s production company has birthed another series.

Paramount+ announced today that they are developing a new original series tentatively titled Vice City in conjunction with G-Unit Film & Television, as well as Lionsgate Television and Paramount Television Studios.

Vice City follows three friends, and former soldiers, who return to their home city of Miami in the mid-80s after being dishonorably discharged from the military for their involvement in the Iran Contra scandal. Disgraced, displaced, and forgotten by the country they served and with no good job prospects, the three friends partner with a mysterious Colombian immigrant, uniting their financial needs and criminal ambitions to form a heist crew. Fueled by the need for American green, they traverse a violent and dangerous path in pursuit of the American Dream.”

The series was written and will be executive produced by Darnell Metayer and Josh Peters, most known for their work on Transformers: Rise of the Beats—and will see Chad Stahelski take the reins as executive producer/director. G-Unit will also serve as executive producer.

The news comes shortly after 50 announced that he had signed a broadcast direct deal with FOX Entertainment to create scripted dramas, live-action comedies and animated series for the network.

50 had previously been working with Starz, where he produced the hit series Power, and subsequent spinoffs.
