YNW Melly has plead not guilty in the double homicide case involving his former friends YNW Sak & Juvy.

In October of 2018, Melly and his associate YNW Bortlen allegedly staged a drive by shooting to cover up the murders of Sak & Juvy.  Miramar PD claim that evidence from the scene suggests that shots were originally fired from inside the vehicle in which all four artists were riding, initially from the “left rear passenger side” where Melly was located. A .40 caliber shell casing located inside the vehicle later backed up that theory.

On February 13, Melly was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder.  If convicted, the charges carry a possible death penalty.
